Dare to imagine

2025-2027 Strategic Plan

Inspired by the vision of Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, who over 190 years ago dared to imagine a better future for young women in Dublin, Ireland, our College remains dedicated to fulfilling her mission. Our commitment to providing excellence in girls' education is steadfast, ensuring that the values of Mercy continue to inspire action, engagement, and service by both staff and students.

Our community thrives on a culture of inclusivity, joy, and purpose. Here, girls are empowered to become courageous, confident women who are not only prepared for their futures but also equipped to imagine and create a better world for all. At the heart of our work is the belief that an innovative, values-driven education is key to unlocking the potential of young women, preparing them for a dynamic and evolving world.

As we look towards 2025 and beyond, we are filled with hope and determination. This Strategic Plan is more than a roadmap - it is a promise to our community that we will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in education. We are committed to not just maintaining our legacy but advancing it with purpose, passion, and innovation.

Our approach to growth and improvement is cyclical, grounded in reflection, ideation, and evolution. We are continuously challenged to think creatively, build meaningful connections, and engage with purpose. Through extensive community consultation and deep inquiry, five Strategic Spotlights have emerged to guide our vision for the future. These are the pillars that shape the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan.

With a clear focus on five integrated strategies – Ignite, Innovate, Connect, Empower, and Thrive – every decision we make is intentional and forward-thinking. We are committed to driving change at all levels, ensuring that our students, staff, and community are prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Acknowledgement of Country: We give thanks and respectfully acknowledge the Wulgurukaba people, the Traditional Custodians of this beautiful country whose land our College shares. We recognise their ongoing deep spiritual connection to this Country, and the care they gave for thousands of years. We also acknowledge the Bindal people as the neighbouring Custodians of their Country. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today.
